J & F Machine Inc. currently operates 2 shifts daily 1st (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) and 2nd (3:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.).

Positions Available:
Set up and operate first run and repeat jobs using various types of fixtures
Read and interpret blueprints and programming code
Inspect work performed
Skilled machinist experienced with set- ups/troubleshooting
Experience with Fanuc, Celios, and Heidenhain controls
DMG Mori equipment (3, 4, and 5 axis)
Oversee & perform 1st article, in process, and final inspections on complex machined parts
Review certifications for and compliance with blueprint specifications and customer standards
Preparation of AS9102 First Article Inspection reports
Effective investigation and resolution of quality incidents, deviations, and customer complaints/inquiries
Evaluate current processes and offer suggestions for continual improvement
Ability to operate CMM equipment (PC-DMIS experience a +)

Contribute to writing job planning and manufacturing instructions
Ability to machine dies, tools, fixtures to blueprints
Ability to operate conventional mill, lathe, grinder
Assistance with creation of internal tools and fixtures to improve repeat job performance
Grinding, filling, and/or surface finishing of metal items, while utilizing a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machines.
Examination of surfaces in order to find defects
Removal of defects and smoothing uneven surfaces
Using hand grinders, blends periphery and all mismatches if not in tolerance
Using a deburr knife, breaks all sharp edges to meet specs
Reworks thickness dimensions
Able to utilize varies grinding equipment – angle hand grinders, straight grinders, and hand sanders
Achieve specific surface finish call outs
Read and interpret blueprints
Sawing of material
Clean parts as required 100% unless otherwise specified
Assisting in maintaining shop cleanliness
Driving within 50 mile radius to deliver parts to vendors and customers
Loading and unloading of supplies and deliveries
Safe packaging of parts
